About me

Dr. Jillian Alderson is a board-certified neurologist who is fellowship-trained in neuromuscular medicine through the Atlantic Neuroscience Institute. Dr. Alderson received her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC, where she graduated cum laude and was admitted to the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) medical honors society. She also received various awards for leadership, integrity and humanitarianism. She went on to pursue her neurology residency training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA, serving as chief resident and remaining there for her fellowship in neuromuscular medicine. While in Boston, she pursued her passion for teaching, including facilitating several classes through Harvard Medical School and won awards for residency advocacy. Her research has been published in various peer-reviewed journals and presented at several national conferences. Dr. Alderson continues to be fascinated by how the nervous system affects behavior and function in all parts of the body, therefore, she sees both general neurology and neuromuscular patients in her practice. She maintains professional memberships to the American Academy of Neurology and the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine. She is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.

The appt was months away for me as a new patient was not good. Being on the wait list for a cancellation was good. I got in 2 weeks before my appt. My husband was allowed in the room with me when I requested. The drs patience with my explanation of issues helped me to feel at ease. Thank you
