Joseph Constantino, DO

Joseph Constantino, DO, is a gastroenterologist with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG) who believes in patient-centered care and prioritizing time for patients. Board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, he diagnoses and treats a variety of digestive disorders with a special interest in the management of inflammatory bowel disease, specifically Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis. Dr. Constantino is skilled in performing esophagogastroduodenoscopy, colonoscopy, push enteroscopy and video capsule endoscopy.

After earning his osteopathic medicine degree at Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, NJ, Dr. Constantino completed his internal medicine residency at Icahn School of Medicine/Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York City. He performed his gastroenterology fellowship at Hoboken University Medical Center, Hoboken, NJ, where he was named conference chief. Dr. Constantino followed that with an advanced fellowship in the management of inflammatory bowel disease at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, New Brunswick, NJ. There he focused on the care of patients with inflammatory bowel disease and also participated in multiple research studies regarding those patients. He also holds a master’s degree in human nutrition from Columbia University in NYC.

Dr. Constantino is the author of several publications in peer-reviewed medical journals, has presented at national medical conferences and has a strong passion for medical education at all levels. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastrointestinal Association, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and Advances in Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Dr. Constantino is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
