About me

Josh Weisbrot, MD, FACC, is a cardiologist with Morristown Cardiology Associates and is on staff at Morristown Medical Center. He stays up-to-date with evolving cardiovascular data to provide the most cutting-edge care for his patients. He also believes in empowering his patients by educating them and partnering with them in making informed healthcare decisions. He is wholly committed to his patients’ well-being and takes pride in providing efficient, attentive care. 
Dr. Weisbrot is board certified in cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and vascular ultrasound interpretation. His areas of interest include preventative cardiology, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, evaluation of elevated calcium score, evaluation of chest pain, palpitations and shortness of breath, mitral and aortic valve disease, cardiac arrhythmias, congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease and noninvasive cardiac imaging.
After graduating summa cum laude from Albany Medical College-Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s Physician-Scientist Program, and magna cum laude with a distinction in research from Albany Medical College,  Dr. Weisbrot was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the Weill Cornell Medical Center of New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. 
As part of his constant efforts to improve patient care, Dr. Weisbrot serves on numerous leadership positions at the Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute of Morristown Medical Center. He is an elected member of the Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute Executive Committee, a member of Ambulatory Cardiology Committee at Atlantic Medical Group, and Chairman of the Cardiology Electronic Medical Records Quality Improvement Committee, among others.  He also has an active role in training cardiology fellows through patient-care supervision and a case-based lecture series.
Dr. Weisbrot is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the American Heart Association and American Society of Echocardiography.
