Kareem Ibrahim, MD, is a thoracic surgeon with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). Board-certified in surgery by The American Board of Surgery and in thoracic and cardiac surgery by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, he has more than five years of experience performing surgical procedures on the lungs, esophagus, chest and other organs within the thoracic cavity. Dr. Ibrahim focuses on robotic minimally invasive procedures for benign and malignant lung, mediastinal and esophageal diseases. He is dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care to all patients and ensuring they are educated about their condition and treatment.
Dr. Ibrahim earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD, followed by his medical degree at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Piscataway, NJ. He then performed residencies in general surgery at Weill Cornell Medical Center / NY Presbyterian Hospital, New York, NY, and cardiothoracic surgery at Baylor College of Medicine / Texas Heart Institute, Houston, TX. Prior to joining AMG, he served as a thoracic surgeon at Main Line Health, a medical student tutor at UMDNJ and an MCAT biology teacher at The Princeton Review, New Brunswick, NJ. He has authored peer-reviewed publications and is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
