Lauren Zeitlinger, DO

Lauren Zeitlinger, DO, is an orthopedic oncologist with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG), specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of both benign (non-cancerous) and malignant (cancerous) tumors of the bone and soft tissues. She performs complex, limb-sparing surgeries with a focus on preserving function and optimizing quality of life. Dr. Zeitlinger is committed to delivering compassionate, personalized care, ensuring patients feel informed and supported throughout every stage of their treatment journey.

Dr. Zeitlinger completed a fellowship in musculoskeletal oncology at the University of California, Davis, in Sacramento, California. She earned her medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University–DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee, and completed her orthopedic surgery residency at WellSpan York Hospital in York, Pennsylvania. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biology, cum laude, from Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut.

Prior to joining AMG, Dr. Zeitlinger served as an orthopedic surgeon and orthopedic oncologist at UPMC Central Pennsylvania. She has extensive experience in clinical teaching and remains actively involved in medical education. She serves as clinical faculty for orthopedic surgery residency programs, organizes regional musculoskeletal oncology tumor review courses and teaches advanced trauma life support and osteopathic principles to medical students and residents. She also serves as a mentor to medical students, trainees and residents, supporting their academic and professional development.

Dr. Zeitlinger has authored several peer-reviewed publications and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), the Musculoskeletal Tumor Society (MSTS) and the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics (AOAO). She is also a participating provider in the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.

In addition to her clinical and academic work, Dr. Zeitlinger is dedicated to community outreach. She organizes a local 5K event in support of Sarcoma Strong, helping raise awareness and funding for sarcoma research.
