Lindsey A. McPhillips, DO, is a fellowship-trained pediatric cardiologist with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). Board-certified in both pediatrics and pediatric cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics, she provides comprehensive pediatric cardiology care for infants, children and adolescents with heart diseases, such as: congenital heart disease, acquired heart disease such as Kawasaki disease, cardiac arrhythmias, heart murmurs, syncope and chest pain. Dr. McPhillips is part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team that provides prenatal cardiac care including diagnostic fetal echocardiograms, prenatal counseling, and delivery planning. She is committed to providing the highest quality of care in a comfortable environment for patients and their families.
After earning her osteopathic medicine degree at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, NY, where she was a member in the Psi Sigma Alpha Honor Society, Dr. McPhillips completed her pediatrics residency at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY. She then completed a pediatric cardiology fellowship Cohen Children’s Medical Center of New York – Northwell Health System, New Hyde Park, NY.
Dr. McPhillips is a strong believer in educating the next generation of pediatric cardiologists. Prior to joining AMG, she was associate director of the pediatric cardiology fellowship program and co-director of the pediatric cardiology medical student/resident course at Cohen Children’s Medical Center in New York. She has given lectures and presentations on various topics to residents and fellows, as well as been an invited speaker locally and regionally. She has been published in peer-reviewed medical journals and presented her work at national meetings. Lastly, Dr. McPhillips was the previous co-medical director of the Cardiac Neurodevelopment Program at Cohen Children’s Medical Center, which she established to optimize neurodevelopmental outcomes and maximize quality of life for cardiac patients.
Currently president of the New York Pediatric Echocardiography Society, Dr. McPhillips is a member of American Society of Echocardiography and the American Heart Association and a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
