Matt Flamenbaum, DO, is a pulmonary and critical care physician with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). He is board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease and critical care medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic lung diseases, respiratory failure and critically ill patients. He is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and believes in partnering with patients and their families to ensure they understand their conditions and treatment options.
After earning his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, NJ, Dr. Flamenbaum completed an internal medicine residency at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ, where he also served as chief resident. He then completed a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Prior to joining AMG, he served as a pulmonary and critical care attending physician at Staten Island University Hospital in Staten Island, NY, and provided medical intensive care unit coverage at Jefferson Methodist Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from The College of New Jersey in Ewing, NJ.
Dr. Flamenbaum has authored peer-reviewed publications, presented research on pulmonary medicine, critical care and quality improvement and is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, the American Osteopathic Association, the New Jersey Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons and the Society of Critical Care Medicine. He is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
