Dr. Matthew Grossman is an interventional endoscopist and gastroenterologist with the Atlantic Digestive Health Institute at Morristown, specializing in premalignant conditions and malignancies involving the gastrointestinal (GI) system. Board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in gastroenterology, and fellowship-trained in gastroenterology and advanced therapeutic endoscopy, Dr. Grossman cares for patients and is called upon for the most challenging endoscopic procedures.
Dr. Grossman has performed thousands of advanced procedures providing the highest quality of care using state-of-the-art technology to diagnose and treat patients. His clinical interests are in therapeutic endoscopy: endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), endoscopic ultrasound, submucosal dissection and resection, and endoscopic surgical techniques including endoscopic bariatric surgery, esophageal and gastric POEM, Zenker’s diverticulectomy, transoral incisionless fundoplication, enteric stenting, double balloon enteroscopy, Barrett’s esophagus, pancreatic cyst management and endoscopic suturing.
After earning his medical degree from Rutgers/UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, New Brunswick, NJ, Dr. Grossman completed his residency in internal medicine at Columbia University Medical Center, NYC. He then completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at New York University Medical Center, NYC, and went on for a second fellowship in advanced therapeutic endoscopy at Lenox Hill Hospital, NYC.
Active in clinic trials of novel endoscopic devices as well as research on pancreatic cancer genomics, Dr. Grossman has written numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and presented at many national scientific meetings. He has given frequent talks throughout the GI community about the latest innovations in endoscopy.
Dr. Grossman is a Fellow of the New York Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He maintains active membership in the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American College of Gastroenterology, and the American Gastroenterology Association. He is fluent in Spanish. Dr. Grossman is part of the Atlantic Medical Group and a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
