About me

Matthew Stuart, MD, is a fellowship-trained hematologist/oncologist with Advanced Care Oncology and Hematology (ACOHA), part of Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). Dr. Stuart’s clinical interests include colorectal, pancreatic, gastrointestinal, lung, urological (GU) cancer, hematology, anemia, clotting disorders, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and preventative care.

Board-certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Stuart believes in treating the patient as a whole, implementing evidence-based, patient-centered, and cost-conscious care. His recent research includes evaluating race-based differences in treatment complications in patients with metastatic prostate cancer, improving vaccination rates in patients receiving chemotherapy, and providing community outreach to increase lung cancer screening and early detection.

Dr. Stuart earned his medical degree at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, Newark, NJ, where he served as director of the Student Family Health Care Center, the mini-medical school and premedical honors program, and the Institute for Public Understanding of Medicine in Action. He performed his internal medicine residency at Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx, NY, where he served on the Emergency-Internal Medicine and Resident Recruitment committees and received the Leo M. Davidoff Society Award for outstanding achievement in the teaching of medical students and a program innovation and improvement award. He remained at Montefiore to complete a fellowship in hematology/oncology, where he was named the chief hematology fellow and served on the Program Evaluation Committee. Following his fellowship training, he joined ACOHA in 2020.

Fluent in conversational Spanish, Dr Stuart has presented at national and international medical conferences. He is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
