Mauresa Walker, MD

Dr. Mauresa Walker is board-certified in internal medicine and a physician with Healthfirst Associates, part of Atlantic Medical Group. Compassionate and personable, Dr. Walker strives to educate patients about preventative measures to promote overall health. She works with adults of all ages to manage chronic illness or recently diagnosed conditions such as diabetes, COPD and asthma. A graduate of St. George’s University School of Medicine, Dr. Walker is fluent in Spanish and culturally sensitive. She counsels her patients on health maintenance through lifestyle modifications and medications for diabetes management and prevention, obesity management, insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome management, and medical nutrition. Dr. Walker is fluent in Spanish and maintains membership in the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association. She joins Atlantic Medical Group from Holyoke Health Center in Massachusetts and is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
