About me
Michelle T. Mesiano, MSN, APN, FNP-BC, is an advanced practice nurse and family nurse practitioner specializing in family medicine with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). She has years of experience in primary and urgent care settings, delivering comprehensive, compassionate primary health care for patients across the lifespan from infancy to adulthood. She believes in fostering patient relationships and incorporating evidence-based medicine to assess, diagnose, educate and treat her patients with respect.
As a nurse practitioner, Michelle reviews vital signs and performs/prescribes diagnostic testing to formulate a comprehensive care plan; provides prompt follow-up with patients regarding their test results or clinical condition. She diagnoses and manages chronic ailments, including cardiovascular, endocrine and pulmonary conditions. In addition, she records and attains health maintenance goals and quality metrics for age-related health screenings, to ensure that her patients receive their proper immunizations and screenings on time.
Prior to joining AMG, Michelle served as an advanced practice nurse in a primary care practice, as a staff nurse in a hospital emergency department, and in a spinal cord injury department at a major rehabilitation facility, and as a school nurse. Her skills span a vast and varied experience.
Michelle earned a master’s degree in nursing, family nurse practitioner from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, Newark, NJ. Previously, she earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston, MA. She is licensed in New Jersey as an advanced practice nurse and registered professional nurse and certified as a family nurse practitioner by both the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, of which she is a member.

- 5.0Nov 15, 2025The visit and care provided were all positive and good. However, it is not acceptable when it takes two days to schedule an appointment for an illness. I called and was routed to the general number (did not seem to be the actual office) and that individual said the earliest appointment for the illness was 2+ days out. During that two days, the illness worsened resulting in an ear becoming infected and more frequent coughing. I generally do not run to the doctor at first sign of something happening as many times it will go its course and take care of itself. When I call for an appointment, it is because I need one. Unfortunately, it seems as though I need to now schedule an appointment at first sign and if it does seem to be working out cancel. This seems to be counter productive, unintuitive and just plain foolish. Perhaps there is another alternative I don't know about.
- 5.0Nov 15, 2025This was my first visit with Michelle. She was knowledgeable, caring, thorough. Professional And personable. I will happily see her again. Lisa, the MA was all if the things Michelle was! The entire office was pleasant. I enjoyed my visit.
- 4.3Nov 13, 2025I am thankful and grateful that I could be seen by someone in this office. Otherwise the wait time was ridiculous for much needed help with my health issue. I did have to call them to ask why my RX wasn't sent to the pharmacy. It was done right away after and I did get apologies.
