Niv Mor, MD

Niv Mor, MD is an attending ear, nose and throat surgeon at Overlook Medical Center. He is board-certified in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery and serves as clinical assistant professor at SUNY Downstate Medical Center’s department of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery. In addition to providing specialty care for conditions of the ear, nose and throat, Dr. Mor has a special interest in treating issues related to airway, voice and swallowing.Dr. Mor graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics and studio arts from Brandeis University, where he was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society. He then earned his medical degree at SUNY Buffalo, where he graduated with the academic honor of Alpha Omega Alpha and was named ‘most likely to make a contribution to medicine’. Dr. Mor completed his residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, and while still in training, Dr. Mor was awarded a research grant from the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Foundation for his work on laryngeal nerve regeneration. Following his residency training. Dr. Mor completed a fellowship in laryngology and neurolaryngology at Mount Sinai Roosevelt Hospital in New York and Weill Cornell Medical Center.Dr. Mor enjoys touching lives around the globe through medical mission trips to Ecuador, Guatemala and Rwanda where he has provided general otolaryngology, head and neck surgery and facial plastic surgery to communities in need.
