About me
Dr. Robert Ruffini is a fellowship-trained gastroenterologist with Atlantic Medical Group, providing patients with expert care for a wide range of digestive system disorders. Prior to joining Atlantic Health System, Dr. Ruffini was a partner with The Medical Group PA in West Orange since 1992. Board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology, Dr. Ruffini is an expert in the diagnosis and management of conditions that include the gallbladder, stomach, intestines and pancreas. He attended Thomas Jefferson Medical College for his medical degree and remained in Philadelphia for his residency at Lankenau Hospital, followed by a two-year fellowship at Presbyterian-University of Pennsylvania Medical Center. A leader in his field, Dr. Ruffini previously served in several roles at Saint Barnabas Medical Center, including being a member of the executive board, a gastroenterology teaching attending for medical students and residents, a member of the institutional review board, and one of the hospital’s former chiefs of Gastroenterology Services. Dr. Ruffini is a member of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization. He also maintains membership in the American College of Gastroenterology, the American College of Physicians, the American Gastroenterological Association, and the American Medical Association.
