Rohan U Mehta, MD

Rohan U. Mehta, MD, is a fellowship-trained attending hematologist/oncologist with Advanced Care Oncology and Hematology (ACOHA), part of Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). He is board-certified in internal medicine, hematology & oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and is trained in all malignancies and blood disorders. Dr. Mehta is committed to advancing health care and empowering patients through strong communication and personalized care, utilizing cutting-edge therapeutics and the latest data-driven advancements in cancer treatment. His approach focuses on treating the human condition as much as the disease process.

After earning his medical degree at International American University College of Medicine, Dr. Mehta completed his internal medicine residency at Mercy Hospital & Medical Center in Chicago, IL, where he was named chief resident. He then completed a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology, serving as chief fellow at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ. Prior to joining ACOHA as an attending physician, he held positions as an instructor of medicine at Loyola University Medical Center/Trinity-Mercy Chicago Program and as a hospitalist in the Chicago area.

An avid educator, Dr. Mehta actively contributed to the academic community through lectures, presentations, and scholarly activities. He has presented at national medical conferences and has published articles in peer-reviewed medical journals. He has been involved in various committees and initiatives, including cofounding resident wellness programs and mentorship programs aimed at supporting medical professionals in personal and professional development, as well as volunteering as a medical professional in southern Uganda for several years.

Dr. Mehta is fluent in English and Gujarati, and conversational in Hindi. He is a member of the American Society of Hematology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American College of Physicians, and the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin. Dr. Mehta is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
