Rujuta Saksena, MD

Rujuta Saksena, MD, is a board-certified hematologist and medical oncologist with Advanced Care Oncology and Hematology (ACOHA), part of Atlantic Medical Group (AMG) specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of solid tumors and hematologic malignancies. Her clinical interests include breast, ovarian, and prostate cancers, with a strong commitment to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care.

Dr. Saksena values a holistic, patient-centered approach and strives to empower patients and families through shared decision-making, open communication, and a deep commitment to continuity of care. She has been recognized by patients for her compassionate bedside manner and has received consistently high ratings.

Dr. Saksena earned her medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University’s Sidney Kimmel Medical College. She completed her internal medicine residency and hematology/oncology fellowship at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, a National Cancer Institute-designated center. During her fellowship, she served as Chief Fellow and gained advanced training in managing complex malignancies.

Beyond clinical care, Dr. Saksena contributes to medical education as a volunteer lecturer for internal medicine residents. She has led and moderated national oncology discussions through Aptitude Health and has presented at regional symposia, including the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium Review. She has published in The ASCO Post, Annals of Pharmacology, and Breast Cancer: Targets and Therapy, among others, on topics ranging from survivorship to the personalized use of chemotherapy.

Dr. Saksena is a member of ASCO and ASH and remains actively engaged in professional development through Maintenance of Certification. She is a former recipient of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor, and her undergraduate academic distinctions include Phi Beta Kappa and Lehigh University’s President’s Award. Dr. Saksena is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
