Stefan Gillen, DO, is a neurologist with Atlantic Medical Group. He is board-certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He specializes diagnosing and treating central and peripheral nervous system disorders but is particularly interested in epilepsy.
After earning his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, NJ, Dr. Gillen completed his neurology residency at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ, where he also served as chief resident. He then continued his medical training at Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA, where he completed an epilepsy fellowship.
Dr. Gillen is the author of abstracts and peer-reviewed publications on epilepsy, vagus nerve stimulation, Wernicke’s encephalopathy, among other topics. He is a member of the American Epilepsy Society and the American Clinical MEG Society.
Dr. Gillen is fluent in Italian and is a participating Atlantic Accountable Care Organization provider.
