Dr. Johnson is a highly skilled neurosurgeon known for his patient-centered approach to treating brain tumors, spine conditions, and cranial nerve disorders. He tailors each treatment plan to the individual, leveraging expertise that spans incisionless radiosurgery, minimally invasive techniques, and traditional open surgical approaches.
Dr. Johnson graduated summa cum laude with Phi Beta Kappa honors from the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned both his undergraduate and medical degrees in neuroscience. He completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in stereotactic neurosurgery under the mentorship of Dr. L. Dade Lunsford, a world-renowned pioneer in Gamma Knife Radiosurgery. Additionally, he trained under Dr. Raymond Sekula, a leading expert in microvascular decompression surgery, a groundbreaking technique developed by Dr. Peter Jannetta.
