Susan D Scherer, MD

Susan Scherer, MD, is a pediatrician with Atlantic Medical Group. Board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, she specializes in the care of infants, children, and young adults, paying special attention to their continued physical, psychological, and emotional development. With more than 25 years of clinical experience, Dr. Scherer enjoys spending time with children and evaluating their developmental milestones, health, and well-being. Her warm and compassionate demeanor helps to build rapport with her young patients while also creating an openness with parents to discuss concerns that may arise.

Dr. Scherer earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School, San Antonio, TX, graduating first in her class, and completed her residency in pediatrics at Johns Hopkins Hospital of Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD. She serves as a physician member and advisor to the Chatham Borough Department of Health, providing guidance on medical issues in the community.Dr. Scherer is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
