Usman Shah, MD

Usman Shah, MD, is a hematologist oncologist with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). Board-certified in internal medicine with subspecialties in hematology and medical oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Shah diagnoses and treats patients with various cancers and blood disorders. Combining innovative therapy with whole-person care, Dr. Shah helps patients navigate their conditions and achieve optimal health.

Dr. Shah earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee before finishing an internal medicine residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He remained at the University of North Carolina to complete a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology. Prior to joining AMG, Dr. Shah worked as Chief of the Division of Hematology and Oncology at Lehigh Valley Topper Cancer Institute in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Dedicated to educating the next generation of doctors, he also served as a faculty member for the Hematology and Oncology Fellowship program at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Shah conducts research focused on improving treatments for cancer, particularly those affecting the GI tract. He has contributed to several clinical trials and has authored numerous manuscripts and abstracts for peer-reviewed medical journals. Additionally, he has presented his work at various national conferences. Dr. Shah is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology. He is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
