Vignesh Raghunath, MD

Vignesh Raghunath, MD, is a cardiologist with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG), specializing in non-invasive cardiology. He has specific interests in preventative cardiology, lipid disorders and the management of cardiac complications related to metabolic diseases such as diabetes and obesity. Board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Raghunath is also certified in echocardiography by the National Board of Echocardiography and in nuclear cardiology by the Board of Nuclear Cardiology.

After earning his medical degree at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, WA, Dr. Raghunath completed his internal medicine residency at NYU Langone Medical Center in NYC. He held a position as an internist at UCLA Medical Center, where he also served as an assistant professor of medicine. He then returned to the east coast and completed a cardiology fellowship at Morristown Medical Center, Morristown, NJ, where he was named chief cardiology fellow.

As chief fellow, Dr. Raghunath helped develop a cardiology fellow-run clinic at Zufall Health, a local federally qualified health center providing medical services for the underserved population in Morris County. He continues to work with the cardiology fellows as the supervising physician at the cardiology clinic at Zufall Health.Dr. Raghunath has published case studies in peer-reviewed medical journals and is a member of the American College of Cardiology. He is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
