Focused on comprehensive noninvasive diagnostics, this new space within Atlantic Health Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute will facilitate early detection of cardiovascular conditions, enabling precise diagnosis and evidence-based treatment access for more patients. The new space will feature 18 recovery bays, two procedural suites and charting areas for clinical teams. The transformational contribution is the largest corporate donation in the Foundation for Morristown Medical Center’s history and will support the continued growth of the Atlantic Health Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute.
This gift is part of a larger $9 million fundraising initiative that will help add two new cardiac catheterization and two new electrophysiology (EP) labs and create new post-EP and catheterization recovery rooms for ambulatory patients within the Institute’s existing footprint.
“At Crum & Forster, our commitment to community runs as deep as our more than 200-year legacy, and this donation to Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center reflects the values that define who we are,” said Marc Adee, Chief Executive Officer, Crum & Forster. “Supporting the development of the Crum & Forster Noninvasive Diagnostic Suite is more than a financial contribution — it's an investment in the health and well-being of our community.”
This significant milestone represents the latest chapter in a strong partnership between Crum & Forster and Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center that spans more than four decades, built on a shared commitment to community wellness. Based in Morristown, NJ and founded in 1822, Crum & Forster is a market-leading property and casualty, accident and health and specialty insurance solutions provider.
“This incredibly generous donation will ensure that Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center will continue to meet the growing demand of cardiovascular care, and we are most grateful to Crum & Forster’s long-standing legacy of philanthropy, innovation, excellence and community partnership,” said Trish O’Keefe, PhD, RN, President, Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center and Senior Vice President, Atlantic Health.
Nearly 100,000 patients receive cardiovascular care annually at Atlantic Health Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute and its catheterization program is one of the largest in the country. The high demand for cardiology care is projected to increase over the next decade amid rapid advancements in minimally invasive structural heart and electrophysiology procedures. “Crum and Foster’s generous gift will ensure that Atlantic Health Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute continues to be a regional, national, and international leader in cardiovascular care,” said Linda Gillam, MD, MPH, Chair of Cardiovascular Medicine and Medical Director of the Cardiovascular Service Line.
