Atlantic Health CentraState Medical Center adds TrueBeam photon therapy system enhancing advanced cancer care capabilities

FREEHOLD, NJ, September 14, 2026 - Patients in Monmouth County now benefit from newly expanded, state-of-the-art radiation oncology treatment options thanks to the addition of the TrueBeam^TM photon therapy system to the Statesir Cancer Center at Atlantic Health CentraState Medical Center.

Using high-energy X-rays, the TrueBeam system delivers targeted radiation to destroy cancer cells while helping preserve surrounding healthy tissue. Combining enhanced imaging, real-time motion management and high-dose-rate radiation therapy, the technology allows physicians to deliver highly precise treatments tailored to each patient’s needs. It supports highly targeted radiation therapy for brain and body tumors, including breast, lung, prostate, head and neck, pelvic, spinal and abdominal cancers.

The transformative technology enhances radiation oncology services by adding advanced techniques such as stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS). SRS is an incisionless treatment for certain brain tumors that delivers a highly concentrated dose of radiation with exceptional precision while minimizing exposure to surrounding healthy brain tissue. This advanced capability supports the continued growth of Atlantic Health's neuro-oncology program at Atlantic Health CentraState.
