Athletic Training Residency

Advance your orthopedic expertise through Atlantic Health’s Athletic Training Residency. Train alongside multidisciplinary specialists, care for athletes at every level and strengthen clinical decision making through evidence-based practice.

Athletic Training Residency

Atlantic Health offers two comprehensive and distinctive 12-month post-professional athletic training residency programs for licensed athletic trainers looking to enhance their skills.

Two athletic training programs

  • Athletic Training Orthopedics Residency Program
  • Athletic Training Pediatrics Residency Program

In both programs, academic coursework and clinical rotations offer direct mentorship from experienced clinicians, providing hands-on-training in comprehensive physical exams, diagnostic testing protocols, procedures, and accurate documentation practices. Throughout their respective programs, residents enhance their acute injury assessment skills, expand their knowledge of outcome-driven treatment planning and develop advanced clinical decision-making abilities. By the conclusion of either program, residents emerge as leaders in their fields as versatile allied health care professionals equipped to navigate the health care system, deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and advocate effectively for patients.
