The PETAL Award, which stands for Performing Exceptional Tasks and Affirming Lives was developed to ensure we recognize the many deserving team members who have the skills and dedication to provide excellent customer service and patient care, outside the nursing profession.

What you need to know about nominating a team member

Who can nominate?

Anyone can nominate! Whether you are a patient, family member, visitor, clinician, staff member or volunteer, if you know of a team member who is an outstanding role model of service, please use the form below to nominate them for the PETAL Award.


Who is eligible?

Hospital team members in any role—including housekeeping, maintenance, transportation, food services, radiology or lab technicians, and more—are eligible for the PETAL Award.  Nominate any non-nursing team member who has made an extraordinary impact through compassion, service and care.


How to nominate

Has a team member at CentraState, Chilton, Hackettstown, Morristown*, Newton, or Overlook medical centers—or from Atlantic Visiting Nurse— gone above and beyond? Recognize their service by submitting a nomination through our form.

*Morristown Medical Center includes Goryeb Children's Hospital.
