Cognitive rehabilitation
Cognitive rehabilitation at Atlantic Health helps people with memory loss from head injuries or Alzheimer’s disease improve mental skills for work, home and leisure activities.
Our program
People who suffer head injuries or have Alzheimer’s disease may experience memory loss. To help restore their mental capacity, Atlantic Rehabilitation provides a cognitive rehabilitation program. Our services are designed to improve:
- Short term memory
- Attention and concentration
- Organization, planning and time management
- Interrupted sleep patterns or changes in vision
Patients will learn techniques that can easily be incorporated into their work, home and leisure activities.
Those who have a physical disability due to stroke or neurological illness may need assistance returning to the workplace. That’s why Atlantic Rehabilitation – Morristown, in partnership with Jewish Vocational Services (JVS), offers vocational rehabilitation services for patients and their caregivers who are actively seeking employment.
