When connected to MyChart, it can personalize answers using information from your Atlantic Health medical record. It helps you better understand your health and connect to the right level of care when needed. Atlantic Health PatientGPT is designed to support, not replace, your relationship with your healthcare providers.

Atlantic Health PatientGPT is available through atlantichealth.org or through MyChart.

In MyChart, open the Messages tab, select Send a Message, and then choose Ask a Question.

You'll be asked to review and accept the appropriate consent information before Atlantic Health PatientGPT can access information from your Atlantic Health medical record.  Or, ask a question below without connecting.

Atlantic Health PatientGPT is secure. It uses encryption and is designed to protect your health information and comply with applicable healthcare privacy requirements.

Health information sent between you and Atlantic Health PatientGPT may be used by Atlantic Health or certain third parties for accuracy, safety, quality assurance, or other improvement purposes. See our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy for details about how your information is handled.

No. Atlantic Health PatientGPT is a health guidance and navigation tool, not a replacement for professional medical care. It can help you understand health information, consider appropriate next steps and prepare for conversations with your care team.

Atlantic Health’s PatientGPT was developed with K Health using clinically validated sources and includes a clinical content verification process. However, AI-generated information may occasionally be incomplete or incorrect. At this time, Atlantic Health PatientGPT is considered in its beta phase.

Do not rely on Atlantic Health PatientGPT alone when making important medical decisions. Contact a healthcare provider whenever you have concerns about your symptoms, diagnosis or treatment.

With your permission, Atlantic Health PatientGPT can securely use information from your Atlantic Health MyChart electronic medical record to provide personalized health guidance, help explain health information and guide you to an appropriate next step.

Once you provide consent, Atlantic Health PatientGPT will activate and access only limited information available in your Atlantic Health MyChart medical record to support its use. This may include medications, allergies, diagnoses, test results and recent care. It does not have direct access to medical records held outside Atlantic Health, although information from outside providers may appear in your Atlantic Health record.

Your healthcare provider does not routinely have access to your Atlantic Health PatientGPT conversations. However, authorized personnel may review certain conversations in a limited capacity for safety, accuracy and quality monitoring.

You may also choose to send an Atlantic Health PatientGPT-generated summary to your healthcare provider through Atlantic Health MyChart.

Atlantic Health PatientGPT conversations are not automatically added to your medical record.

A summary is shared with your provider only when you choose to copy or send it through a MyChart message. Information you send to your provider may become part of your medical record when it is used to make decisions about your care or treatment.

Yes. When your question may require evaluation by a healthcare provider, Atlantic Health PatientGPT connects you to one of our doctors when you need care, including scheduling with your primary care provider (PCP), scheduling with a virtual Atlantic Health primary care doctor or helping you find a PCP that meets your needs.
