Understanding cardiac stress testing

Our stress testing services are designed to evaluate how well your heart functions under physical stress, providing critical insights into your cardiovascular health. We offer a variety of cardiac stress tests including:

Cardiac MRI (magnetic resonance imaging)

Uses MRI to image the heart during pharmacologic stress testing.

Cardiopulmonary metabolic exercise stress testing (CMET)

Used to check heart, lungs and functional capacity simultaneously, providing more comprehensive data than the standard treadmill stress test.

Exercise stress test (treadmill testing)

Monitors blood pressure and heart activity while walking on a treadmill at different levels of intensity, indicating how the heart responds to different levels of exertion.

PET or CT (positron emission tomography or computed tomography)

Uses PET or CT technology to image the heart during exercise or pharmacologic stress testing.

SPECT (Single photon emission computed tomography)

Uses SPECT technology to image the heart during exercise or pharmacologic stress testing.

Stress echocardiography

Uses echocardiography to image the heart during exercise or pharmacologic stress testing.
