Wait times represent the average estimated length of time from registration to being assigned a "first provider" (a doctor, nurse practitioner or physician assistant). Times displayed for Atlantic Health Systems are:

  • Reported as an average of wait times for the previous 2 hours of patients that have presented to the emergency department and have been seen by a provider
  • Refreshed at least every 15 minutes

Many circumstances can affect wait times - for example, patients arriving by ambulance or with life-threatening injuries or illnesses. Patients with severe conditions will be seen before those with less-serious problems or ailments. These times are provided for informational purposes only and cannot be guaranteed upon arrival.

Child Development

Kids with learning, behavioral or developmental challenges need specialized care to be physically, cognitively, academically, socially and emotionally healthy. At the Child Development and Autism Center, we can help your child reach his or her maximum potential in all of these areas.

Our team of health care professionals includes neurodevelopmental pediatricians, a nurse practitioner, social workers, learning consultants, a speech-language therapist and a psychologist. They are trained to treat a wide range of developmental disorders including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism and any other related conditions.

Children with neurological disorders, such as epilepsy or neuromuscular disease, are treated at our Division of Child Neurology and Developmental Medicine. As part of Atlantic Health System Children’s Health, physician services are provided through Atlantic Medical Group and are on staff at Goryeb Children’s Hospital.
