Daria Yunina DiStefano, MD, is a fellowship-trained gastroenterologist/hepatologist with Atlantic Medical Group. Board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, she has clinical expertise treating patients with a wide variety of gastrointestinal disorders, gastrointestinal cancers, and all forms of liver disease including cirrhosis, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, alcohol-associated liver disease, cholestatic and autoimmune liver disease, liver tumors, and caring for patients prior to and following liver transplant.
Dr. Yunina DiStefano earned her medical degree at St. George’s University, Grenada, West Indies. She completed her internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at Maimonides Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY, where she was named chief gastroenterology fellow. She followed that with additional training in a second advanced fellowship in transplant hepatology at NYU Langone in New York City, where she focused on the management of advanced liver disease.
Several of Dr. Yunina DiStefano’s case studies on liver and gastric conditions and have been published in peer-reviewed medical journals and she has presented abstracts on various related topics at national conferences.
A member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterology Association and the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, Dr. Yunina DiStefano speaks English, Russian and Spanish. She is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
