About Our Hospital
A nationally-recognized leader in cardiology, orthopedics, nursing, critical care and geriatrics, Morristown Medical Center is the only hospital in New Jersey named one of America’s ‘50 Best Hospitals’ for five consecutive years by Healthgrades. Morristown Medical Center is a Magnet Hospital for Excellence in Nursing Service, the highest level of recognition achievable from the American Nurses Credentialing Center for facilities that provide acute care services. We’re also designated a Level I Regional Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons and a Level II by the State of NJ.

Growing Forward | Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute
As a national leader in cardiovascular care and the largest program in the state, Morristown Medical Center’s Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute tirelessly confronts the challenges posed by heart disease, but the community we serve has grown. To meet the demand, we have proposed a two floor expansion adding 72 beds. The hospital has undertaken these projects in multiple phases of construction, and even though some are complete or near completion the fundraising continues.
Growing Forward | Carol G. Simon Cancer Center
As a national leader in oncology, Morristown Medical Center’s Carol G. Simon Cancer Center tirelessly confronts the challenges posed by cancer, but therapies have grown more complex and an aging population has increased demand. Our proposed expansion will ensure that we continue to
provide the highest level of patient-centric, multidisciplinary treatment using the latest research and innovations. It includes 20 state-of-the-art surgical suites that co-locate exam rooms and clinical services to enhance care coordination and convenience. A combination of open and private infusion bays will also be made available. Growing Forward | Goryeb Children’s Hospital
Goryeb Children’s Hospital provides expert pediatric care and access to state-of-the-art treatments, but we’ve outgrown the space needed to meet the demands of our youngest patients. Recent renovations doubled the size of our Joan and Edward Foley Pediatric Intensive Care Unit from nine beds to 15 and expanded our Vanech Family Pediatric Inpatient Unit and Ryan Pediatric Inpatient South Unit from 26 beds to 34. Additionally, outpatient services were relocated to 55 Madison Avenue, where families have easy access to care and free parking. The final phase of construction will increase the capacity of our Valerie Fund Children’s Center. It includes a combination of eight open and private infusion bays, four new exam rooms, a spacious procedure room and a family-friendly waiting area. The hospital has undertaken these projects in multiple phases of construction and even though some are complete or near completion, the fundraising continues.
