Pompton Plains, N.J., October 2, 2024Atlantic Health System’s Chilton Medical Center is proud to announce the grand reopening  of its newly renovated Collins Pavilion that houses the oncology and infusion center. The state-of-the-art facility was recently celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony featuring hospital leaders, physician, team members, donors and community  members.

Atlantic Health System, along with Chilton Medical Center, strive to create a comprehensive care delivery network of oncology providers and sites, across its geographic region, to deliver the  highest level of cancer care in the appropriate setting. It is a core belief of Chilton Medical Center that each cancer patient should  have easy access to these services, from diagnosis to treatment to  survivorship.

“We are thrilled to unveil our newly renovated Collins Pavilion, which represents a significant investmentin the health and well-being of our community,” said Maureen Schneider, PhD, MBA, RN, FACHE, President, Chilton Medical Center. “This new space will help meet the needs of an increasing number of patients who turn to Chilton for infusion services and who find comfort and peace of mind in having those services available close to home.”

Key Features:

  • Advanced Treatment Technology Close to Home: Access to a complete array of oncology outpatient services, including radiation and chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and non-cancer related infusion services just a short distance from home.

  • Patient-Centered Design: The renovation focuses on creating a calming and healing environment, with enhanced privacy in treatment areas and comfortable seating.

  • Comprehensive Care: Our multidisciplinary team of oncologists, nurses, and support staff are dedicated to providing personalized care plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs.

  • Updated Infusion Area: The renovated suite will have six more infusion areas bringing the initial patient infusion areas from 12 to 18. This will allow the center to go from an average of 22 daily patients to 40, while improving the comfort, convenience and care gor patients undergoing infusion therapy.

Through the dedication of the community and the Chilton Medical Center Foundation, $1,257,074 has been successfully raised towards the total cost of this project. Chilton Medical Center remains committed to leading the way in healthcare innovation and excellence with this project as a significant step forward in fulfilling that promise. This achievement is a testament to the generosity of donors whose incredible outpouring of support and enthusiasm for this endeavor highlights how vital these services are to the community.

“This renovation signifies our unwavering commitment to provide comprehensive and compassionate care to our patients. The upgraded suite is designed to improve patient comfort and streamline treatment processes, creating better patient outcomes and enhanced mental well-being during an especially challenging time,” said Maithili V. Rao, MD, Oncologist, Hematologist, Atlantic Health System and Enterprise Medical Director, Atlantic Medical Group. “We look forward to the positive impact this will have on our patients, their families, and the broader community. Together, we are stronger in the fight against cancer.”
