Robotic surgery
Atlantic Health offers advanced robotic‑assisted care designed to support precision, comfort, and quicker recovery—helping you heal and move forward with confidence.
Leaders in robotic surgical care
Atlantic Health is a regional leader in robotic surgery, performing a high volume of advanced procedures for many complex conditions. Our teams were early adopters of innovative robotic techniques and continue to expand care through advanced imaging and surgical approaches designed to support precision and better patient outcomes.
The da Vinci Surgical System allows surgeons to operate via tiny incisions, using instruments that mimic the movement of the wrist. In addition, the system’s advanced, high-definition camera allows surgeons to see vital anatomical structures in 3-D, so delicate nerves, muscles and blood vessels can be carefully spared, when necessary.
Morristown Medical Center performs some of the highest volumes of robotic surgery for the treatment of cancer and gynecologic and urogynecologic conditions in this region. We were one of the first hospitals on the entire Eastern Seaboard to perform a robotic sacrocolpopexy to correct female pelvic prolapse and are the only hospital in NJ to treat endometrial cancer patients with an add-on to the da Vinci Surgical System called Firefly™ Fluorescence Imaging.
In addition to the da Vinci Surgical System, Overlook Medical Center offers Mako™ robot-arm assisted partial knee replacement and ViKY® video endoscopy.
Ask your doctor if you might be a candidate for robotic surgery.
