Atlantic Surgical Oncology has added an office at Atlantic Health System Clark-North Pavilion, a new conveniently located facility, offering multispecialty care, urgent care, orthopedics, lab, imaging, and rehabilitation services.
“We are excited to open our new office in Clark and increase this community’s access to our cancer surgical specialists,” explains Eric D. Whitman, MD, a surgical oncologist and medical director of Atlantic Health System Cancer Care.
Last spring, the group welcomed a new surgeon – Irene Rossmer, MD, FACS – who will see patients at both Clark-North Pavilion and Overlook Medical Center.
Dr. Rossmer completes the Atlantic Medical Group’s surgical oncology team, which includes Dr. Lee Starker, Dr. Lawrence Harrison, Dr. Kai Bickenbach and Dr. Eric Whitman.
“Our approach to cancer treatment is to provide highly individualized, multidisciplinary care to all our patients,” observes Dr. Rossmer. “Treatment plans are designed in consultation with multiple oncology specialists and for each particular patient, and may involve surgery, radiation, medical oncology or a combination of the above, aimed at optimizing our chance for cure and, at the same time, maximizing the quality of life. We also believe that nutrition guidance, integrative therapies, palliative care, and social and emotional support services are integral to healing – and we are excited to be able to offer these services to our patients. At Overlook and at Clark-North Pavilion, our patients are able to access our doctors and our facilities in one convenient location.”
