Morristown Medical Center Recognized by Becker's Hospital Review as Top 100 Institution With a Great Heart Program

Morristown, NJ – Becker's Hospital Review has named Morristown Medical Center to its list of "100 Hospitals with Great Heart Programs." Institutions recognized on the list include those with programs demonstrating excellent clinical outcomes, cutting-edge research, cardiac risk-reduction programs and an innovative approach to cardiac care.

Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute, a state-of-the-art, five-story, 230,000 square-foot building situated on the Morristown Medical Center campus, is dedicated to meeting the challenges of adult heart and vascular diseases. Morristown Medical Center’s Department of Cardiovascular Medicine encompasses the largest cardiovascular surgical program in New Jersey and has nationally-recognized expertise in each of cardiology’s major disciplines. It includes eight operating rooms (two hybrid), five catheterization labs, three electrophysiology labs and advanced non-invasive imaging capability. The Department of Cardiovascular Medicine recently celebrated its 25th anniversary of performing cardiac surgery. The Becker's Hospital Review editorial team selected Atlantic Health System-owned Morristown Medical Center based on its quality of care, clinical awards and research contributions to cardiovascular care.
