Atlantic Health System to Hold Annual Public Meeting

June 2016, Morristown, NJ – Atlantic Health System, a leading non-profit health care delivery system in New Jersey, will hold its Annual Public Meeting Thursday, July 28, at the Malcolm Forbes Amphitheater at Morristown Medical Center, 100 Madison Avenue in Morristown, New Jersey.

The meeting, free of charge and open to the public, will begin at 5:00pm and will offer an opportunity to hear from and interact with Atlantic Health System leadership, and learn more about the operation of the organization, including Morristown, Overlook, Newton, Chilton and Hackettstown medical centers and Goryeb Children’s Hospital, and how the organization is working within the communities it serves. There will be an opportunity for the public to ask questions.

Following the presentation, from 6:00 to 7:30pm, Atlantic Health System will offer a free screening and discussion of the PBS Frontline documentary “Being Mortal.” Based on the best-selling book by Dr. Atul Gawande, this film explores the hopes of patients and families facing terminal illness and their relationships with doctors, nurses and family members who care for them. Staff will be available to answer questions about home care, hospice, advanced directives and palliative care.
