December 7, 2017, Morristown, NJ – Morristown Medical Center, the flagship hospital of Atlantic Health System, today announced it was recognized as a Top Teaching Hospital by The Leapfrog Group for the second consecutive year. The medical center is one of only 36 in the nation to achieve this honor.

Beginning in July 2018, Morristown Medical Center will serve as a branch campus, allowing students to complete their third and fourth years of clinical training at the new SKMC/TJU-AHS Branch Campus.

“Morristown Medical Center is pleased to have again been recognized as one of the Top Teaching Hospitals in the nation,” said Louis Brusco Jr., MD, Chief Medical Officer, Morristown Medical Center, and Clinical Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at Sydney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. “This recognition is based on rigorous quality and safety data, and highlights our clinical team’s commitment to positive outcomes for our patients and the community.
