Atlantic Health System Earns Most Wired Recognition 2021

October 7, 2021

MORRISTOWN, NJ – OCTOBER 7, 2021 – Adding to its reputation of clinical excellence, Atlantic Health System today received recognition for its use of innovation and technology in care delivery as it was named a certified level 8 organization by CHIME Digital Health Most Wired for 2021. This is the third consecutive year The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) has recognized Atlantic Health. As a level 8 organization, Atlantic Health System was recognized for applying core and advanced technologies into its clinical and business programs to improve health and care in their communities.

“Atlantic Health System is focused on seeking digital-first opportunities when it comes to our delivering extraordinary care on behalf of our patients,” said Sunil Dadlani, Vice President, Chief Information Officer, Atlantic Health System. “We are embracing digital transformation across multiple frontiers throughout our health care system. That involves digital consumer experience and engagement, clinical care transformation, operational transformation and workforce transformation. We have accelerated adoption of next generation technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, wearables, sensors, the Internet of Things, big data and predictive analytics, blockchain and other innovations to ensure we are creating an environment of convenience and value for the consumers and communities we serve.”

This year’s surveys assessed the adoption, integration and impact of technologies in healthcare organizations at all stages of development, from early development to industry leading. Each participating organization received a customized benchmarking report, an overall score and scores for individual levels in eight segments: infrastructure; security; business/disaster recovery; administrative/supply chain; analytics/data management; interoperability/population health; patient engagement; and clinical quality/safety.

“Digital transformation in healthcare has accelerated to an unprecedented level since 2020, and the next few years will bring a wave of innovation that empowers healthcare consumers and will astound the industry,” said CHIME President and CEO Russell P. Branzell. “The Digital Health Most Wired program recognizes the outstanding digital leaders who have paved the way for this imminent revolution in healthcare. Their trailblazing commitment to rapid transformation has set an example for the entire industry in how to pursue a leadership vision with determination, brilliant planning and courage to overcome all challenges.”

The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives is a global organization serving information executives from across the health care continuum. As in past years, CHIME will publish an industry trends report based on Digital Health Most Wired responses from U.S. participants. The 2021 National Trends Report is scheduled to be released in October during CHIME21 in San Diego.
