Atlantic Health System Earns a Place on Companies that Care® List by PEOPLE

September 1, 2021

SEPTEMBER 1, 2021 – MORRISTOWN, NJ – Atlantic Health System’s team has another reason to celebrate its nationally renowned workplace. Today the system was named one of the 2021 PEOPLE Companies that Care® by PEOPLE magazine and Great Place to Work®. This recognition is the fourth honor Atlantic Health System has received for its workplace culture this year, joining “America’s Best Employers By State” for 2021 by Forbes, Great Place to Work® and Fortune’s lists of the “100 Best Companies to Work For®” and “Best Workplaces in Health Care & Biopharma™”. Atlantic Health System ranked number 33 and joins organizations like Wegmans, Target and American Express.

“Every day each of our 18,000 doctors, nurses and caregivers comes to work at Atlantic Health System to deliver exceptional outcomes and extraordinary care to our patients, communities and each other,” said Dennis Lennon, Vice President, Human Resources, Atlantic Health System. “But our incredible team members also play an integral role in helping create an accepting and supportive atmosphere at all of our locations. I want to congratulate our entire team on this recognition and thank PEOPLE and Great Place to Work® for acknowledging that it is our people who make Atlantic Health special.”

The Companies that Care® list is highly competitive and based on analysis of survey responses from more than 5 million current employees. Great Place to Work, the global authority on workplace culture, selected the list using rigorous analytics and confidential employee feedback. Companies were only considered if they are a Great Place to Work-Certified® organization.

Great Place to Work is the only company culture award in America that selects winners based on how fairly employees are treated. Companies are assessed on how well they are creating a great employee experience that cuts across race, gender, age, disability status, or any aspect of who employees are or what their role is.

“These companies show up for humanity in a variety of ways — from showing compassion for their employees to giving back to their communities to putting diversity, equity and inclusion in the forefront,” says Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work®. “They are paving the way for more socially responsible business and are fostering high-trust workplaces for all. Congratulations to the winners of the PEOPLE's Companies that Care list!”
