Wait times represent the average estimated length of time from registration to being assigned a "first provider" (a doctor, nurse practitioner or physician assistant). Times displayed for Atlantic Health Systems are:

  • Reported as an average of wait times for the previous 2 hours of patients that have presented to the emergency department and have been seen by a provider
  • Refreshed at least every 15 minutes

Many circumstances can affect wait times - for example, patients arriving by ambulance or with life-threatening injuries or illnesses. Patients with severe conditions will be seen before those with less-serious problems or ailments. These times are provided for informational purposes only and cannot be guaranteed upon arrival.

Do not disclose personal, medical or financial details in your posts, images or videos. Due to health care industry regulations, Atlantic Health System cannot permit any posts that solicit or offer medical advice. All federal HIPAA rules and regulations, as well as any corresponding state/local rules and regulations, apply to any and all social media engagement. Atlantic Health System employees must adhere to the internal social media policy.

Atlantic Health System regularly monitors all posted content on its official sites and reserves the right to remove any comments, images and videos that are deemed abusive, defamatory, obscene, threatening or otherwise inappropriate. Discussion and dissenting points of view are welcome, but must be presented in a respectful and courteous manner.
