Wait times represent the average estimated length of time from registration to being assigned a "first provider" (a doctor, nurse practitioner or physician assistant). Times displayed for Atlantic Health Systems are:

  • Reported as an average of wait times for the previous 2 hours of patients that have presented to the emergency department and have been seen by a provider
  • Refreshed at least every 15 minutes

Many circumstances can affect wait times - for example, patients arriving by ambulance or with life-threatening injuries or illnesses. Patients with severe conditions will be seen before those with less-serious problems or ailments. These times are provided for informational purposes only and cannot be guaranteed upon arrival.

Pediatric Infectious Disease Diagnostic & Treatment Options

The Division of Pediatric Infectious Disease at Atlantic Health System Children's Health provides a wide array of diagnostic and treatment offerings for children and adolescents with infectious diseases. Our services include:

  • Consultative inpatient and outpatient care for illnesses caused by viral, bacterial, fungal or parasitical infections
  • Diagnosis and therapy for infections in all major organ systems
  • Evaluation of patients with unusual or severe infections and those with infections related to abnormal or weakened immune systems
  • Advice regarding immunization and antibiotic treatments for families who will be traveling outside the country
  • Evaluations of children adopted though international programs

As part of Atlantic Health System Children's Health, physician services are provided through Atlantic Medical Group and are on staff at Goryeb Children's Hospital.
