Extraordinary care has always been our priority — and that has never been more true than now.
The health and safety of our patients and caregivers has always been our top priority. Rest assured we have continued our stringent safety measures and have implemented updated guidelines. We have taken every precaution to lessen the spread of COVID-19 and ensure the care you receive is safe.
It’s important not to delay getting the care you need, as it can worsen symptoms.
Safety Measures at our Hospitals and Doctors' Offices:
Travel Advisory for Patients
To save lives and prevent the spread of COVID-19, Governor Murphy has issued an incoming travel advisory requiring all travelers entering New Jersey from states with significant rates of transmission of COVID-19 to quarantine for 14 days after leaving that state.
Patients with elective appointments and procedures should delay until their 14-day quarantine is completed. Patients with elective appointments can also consider a telemedicine visit.
COVID-19 testing will be conducted prior to procedures that can’t be delayed and for patients requiring admission.
Please note that a negative test for SARS-CoV-2 does NOT eliminate the 14-day quarantine requirement for patients or visitors.
For the safety and well-being of patients, visitors, support persons and health care professionals, hospital visitors will be required to go through both temperature and symptom screening upon entering the facility.
A travel advisory is also in effect for visitors and staff. No visitors are allowed until 14 days after their return from an affected area. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the facility.
Social distancing is observed throughout our hospitals and doctor's offices, except as needed in treatment areas for care delivery.
Team Members are Protected
Team members wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
All patients and team members are temperature checked and screened for COVID-19 symptoms prior to entering the hospital or doctor's office.
Express Check In
In many offices and departments, patients can wait in their cars, complete check-in procedures using a cell phone, and are escorted right to the exam room/treatment area when ready. When in-person registration is necessary, the process is kept as short as possible.
Express Check Out
Express checkout is available at most locations.
Patients at our doctor's offices have virtual express check out. There's no need to stop on your way out. An after-visit summary will be sent digitally to your MyChart account.

Frequently Asked Questions
I am concerned about being able to afford the care I need. Where can I get more information on financial assistance?
We understand medical care can be expensive and paying medical bills, particularly in today’s environment, can be very stressful. Financial assistance may be available through access to government services, or special programs for individuals who meet specific requirements. No one will be denied necessary medical care by Atlantic Health System for inability to pay for services.
I am currently quarantined at home, should I proceed with this medical treatment?
Please maintain your quarantine and do not leave your home until you have been medically cleared. Contact your health care provider or visit the CDC website for current guidance on when to discontinue home isolation.
Can I bring someone with me to my appointment?
Visitors should not accompany the patient in our doctor's offices unless medically necessary; all visitors are screened for symptoms and fever and wear a face covering or mask.
Visitors are restricted in our hospitals, but there are some limited exceptions>
