Program Requirements

Atlantic Health System’s PGY-1 and PGY-2 pharmacy residency programs require the following criteria for eligibility:

  • Received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree program or have Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Committee (FPGEC) certificate from the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy
  • Completed an ASHP-accredited PGY1 pharmacy residency program or one in the ASHP accreditation process prior to the start of the residency year (PGY-2 pharmacy residency programs only) 
  • Be eligible to participate in American Society of Health-System Pharmacists matching program
  • Be eligible for licensure as a Pharmacist by the New Jersey Board of Pharmacy

Application Submission

The following items must be submitted by January 5th, 2024 via PhORCAS for all programs:

  • Curriculum vitae
  • A letter of intent/personal statement
  • One-page document describing your role and responsibilities on clinical rotation(s), including number of patients followed on a daily basis and examples of autonomy and significant interventions (PGY-1 pharmacy residency only) 
  • Three letters of reference
  • Official transcripts
