MyChart Provides Health Information at Your Fingertips

September 15, 2017

In keeping with its commitment to advance the health of its communities, Atlantic Health System has undertaken a multiyear initiative to implement the Epic electronic health record across all of its hospitals and outpatient locations. Once Epic is in place, patients and providers will have the information they need from a single system, including medications, allergies and other health issues, regardless of where at Atlantic Health System they receive care.

“With Epic, patients will have access to their health information when and where they need it: at the doctor’s office, at home, or on mobile phones using Epic’s MyChart application,” says Debbie Cancilla, vice president and chief information officer, Atlantic Health System. “This can make treatment easier, faster and even less costly.”

Some Atlantic Health System locations already have the system in place, and a team of about 200 staff members is devoted to getting the system up and running across all hospitals and clinical sites by the end of 2018.

Patients of most Atlantic Medical Group providers can now access MyChart to view health records, including lab results, medications and immunizations; request an appointment; and communicate electronically with the office. If you are an Atlantic Medical Group patient, please contact your health care provider to obtain an activation code to create your account.

As the Epic integration continues across all Atlantic Health System locations next year, be on the lookout for more information about setting up your Epic MyChart account. MyChart will be available throughout Atlantic Health System by the end of 2018.
