Wait times represent the average estimated length of time from registration to being assigned a "first provider" (a doctor, nurse practitioner or physician assistant). Times displayed for Atlantic Health Systems are:

  • Reported as an average of wait times for the previous 2 hours of patients that have presented to the emergency department and have been seen by a provider
  • Refreshed at least every 15 minutes

Many circumstances can affect wait times - for example, patients arriving by ambulance or with life-threatening injuries or illnesses. Patients with severe conditions will be seen before those with less-serious problems or ailments. These times are provided for informational purposes only and cannot be guaranteed upon arrival.

Skull Base Tumor Patient Navigators

At Atlantic Health System Neuroscience's Skull Base Surgery Program, we understand that cancer treatment can be complicated and confusing for patients and families. Our patient navigators – trained professionals with extensive knowledge about skull base tumor symptoms, treatment and resources – help guarantee that our patients receive the best possible medical care, as well as emotional support and guidance throughout all stages of care. In addition, our resource navigators can provide non-medical assistance.

Patient navigators:

  • Explain medical terms and processes to the patient and caregivers throughout the course of treatment and after treatment
  • Assist with coordinating appointments and follow up care, as well as follow patients to ensure completion of the recommended treatment plan
  • Identify and refer patients to appropriate medical, social and community resources and locate services that can help the patient and caregivers deal with the stress of a cancer diagnosis
