Learn about Atlantic Health System’s surgery centers and where to go on the day of your procedure:
Morristown Medical Center
Morristown Medical Center is one of the premier surgical centers in the region.
In fact, we are recognized by the American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (ACS NSQIP) for achieving exemplary outcomes for surgical patient care and are accredited as a Level I Regional Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons and a Level II by the state of New Jersey.
When arriving for your surgery, please enter through the Carol G. Simon Cancer Center and take the elevators on the left to level D. From there, the surgery registration desk will be on your left. Valet parking is available in front of the cancer center entrance.
Morristown Medical Ambulatory Surgery Center
Morristown Medical Ambulatory Surgery Center is an outpatient surgical facility located at 111 Madison Avenue, within walking distance of Morristown Medical Center. It features six multi-specialty operating rooms, one minor procedure room, a six-bed pre-operative area and a 24-bed recovery room. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, from 6:30am to 9:00pm. When you enter the building, go to the second floor and check in with the receptionist. You will then meet with a registrar, who will process the paperwork required for your surgical procedure. Parking is available in our lot outside.
Overlook Medical Center
Overlook Medical Center offers 18 fully-equipped operating rooms, three of which are equipped for advanced laparoendoscopic surgery. Our staff includes board-certified surgeons and health care professionals who are dedicated to providing the most progressive surgical methods using the latest technology.
On the day of your surgery, park across from the hospital in the West Garage and enter the hospital through the door marked “Main Hospital Entrance.” Turn left and proceed to the Central Access/Patient Registration/Pre-Admission Testing Department, which will be on your right. The receptionist will direct you from there.
If you are not sure which location you should go to for your surgery, check with your doctor.
