How to Apply to the Administrative Fellowship

Who Qualifies

Atlantic Health System seeks diverse candidates who have recently graduated or are planning to graduate from a masters-level program that is CAHME-accredited in a relevant health care field. This includes one or more of the following fields of study or related degree programs:

  • Health Administration (MHA)
  • Public Health (MPH)
  • Health Services Administration (MHSA)
  • Business Administration (MBA) on a health care track

Candidates must be able to work independently and constructively as a team, show evidence of strong analytical and communication skills, and have relevant health care-related work experience.

Application Timeline

We are now accepting applications for the 2024-2025 Administrative Fellowship class.

 

Typical Application Cycle

  • June - Application cycle opens
  • September 29th - Final application deadline
  • Early October - Virtual first round interviews
  • Late October - On site second round interviews with leadership
  • November - Fellowship offers extended
  • June/July - Fellowship matriculation

 

How to Apply

When we are accepting applications, applicants can choose one of the two methods below. Applicants are encouraged to apply early because application reviews and interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis.

Option 1: NAFCAS website

Applications can be submitted online through the National Administrative Fellowship Centralized Application Service (NAFCAS). Learn more >

Your submission should include:

  • Resume
  • Personal statement – Reasons for pursuing a career in health care and why you want to work at Atlantic Health System (500 word maximum)
  • Essay question – Outline career objectives and how the Atlantic Health System Administrative Fellowship can help you accomplish your goals (500 word maximum)
  • Three letters of recommendation – At least one academic and one professional are required. The third letter can be either academic or professional.
  • Official graduate transcripts

Option 2: Email your Application

Applications can be consolidated into a single pdf and sent to our program via email.  Email us >

Your emailed pdf should include:

  • Resume
  • Personal statement – Reasons for pursuing a career in health care and why you want to work at Atlantic Health System (500 word maximum)
  • Essay question – Outline career objectives and how the Atlantic Health System Administrative Fellowship can help you accomplish your goals (500 word maximum).
  • Three letters of recommendation – One academic and one professional. The third can be either academic or professional.
  • Unofficial or official graduate transcripts – If submitting an unofficial transcript, an official transcript will be requested at the end of the recruiting process upon hire.
