Atlantic Visiting Nurse is committed to serving its communities in their time of need. Our services are essential to those who are recovering from surgery or illness, those coping with chronic illness, end of life care, and those who need our services to remain living independently.
For some, our services are necessary for them to return to a normal life. For others, we make their end of life experience comfortable for the patient and families involved.
Atlantic Visiting Nurse has cared for nearly 20,000 patients in 2020. Our team is composed of nurses, physical, occupational, and speech therapists, social workers, registered dieticians, and home health aides. We travel to Morris, Union, Essex, Somerset, Sussex, and Warren Counties in New Jersey and care in over 2,400 square miles. Through our excellent care we have earned four stars on the Home Health Compare Quality Rating.
2020 was tough on all communities and even tougher for those who are home bound. During these troubled times we stepped-up to the plate to care for our communities. In the past year Atlantic Visiting Nurse has cared for over 1,000 COVID patients, completed over 243,000 home visits in our six counties, delivered 64,000 hours of hospice care and helped administer over 500,000 COVID vaccines at both vaccine centers and at home visits!
Atlantic Visiting Nurse serves five Atlantic Health System hospitals, Close to 300 Atlantic Medical Group practices, and the homes of thousands of patients and their families. It is our team’s responsibility to ensure the patients and families high quality, compassionate care in their home.
Atlantic Visiting Nurse is involved in community health services in our regions, running blood pressure and flu clinics, and offers Respite care for caretakers in need. We also operate our Atlantic Adult Day Center to create a caring and social environment for the elderly.
Through your generous donations, our team can continue to care for those who need us. Your contributions are appreciated by everyone at Atlantic Visiting Nurse, and the patients and families we serve.
