Newton Rotary Golf Tournament

Fifty-two years ago Ed McCracken, George Morville, Pat Dolan, Joseph Quinn and Milt Woolfenden planned a Rotary golf tournament to benefit Newton Memorial Hospital. Today, the golf tournament continues to raise money for what is now, Newton Medical Center.

Over the years Newton Rotary has raised more than $1 million to support Newton Medical Center. Caring for our communities is what the hospital and Newton Rotary do best. The generosity from Newton Rotary continues to play a vital role in supporting quality services and programs at the hospital.

2021 Newton Rotary Golf Outing

In September 2021, the Newton Rotary Club held the 53rd Annual Newton Rotary Golf Outing at the Newton Country Club. This year, we were pleased to honor Rev. Alden Welch, a longtime Newton Rotarian, former President of the Newton Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees and founding Board Chairman of Bristol Glen. Alden is a true leader and passionate volunteer who has served this community for many years. Alden’s dedication is an inspiration to many, and we were fortunate to recognize his accomplishments.

We are pleased to share $16,000 was raised that will be donated back to Newton Medical Center Foundation to support quality services and programs at the hospital.

Thank you to all our golfers, sponsors and volunteers!
