Atlantic Visiting Nurse - Supportive Care is a state-licensed, accredited home care service for individuals and their families who are facing serious illness. The goal of the program is to prevent and relieve suffering while supporting the best possible quality of life for patients and their families. To that end, our staff works with you to develop a plan of care that focuses on physical, emotional and spiritual comfort while respecting your individual choices and wishes.
Professional Services
Our professional services are designed to help with pain and symptom management, monitor treatment response and side effects, assist patients and families with treatment decisions and provide information about community services.
We are staffed by registered nurses, social workers, rehabilitation therapists, wound care specialists, dietitians and home health aides who are experienced in the home management of serious illness. Staff members make regularly scheduled visits to your home or assisted living residence. They maintain communication with your physician regarding your treatment and changes in your condition. A registered nurse is on call 24 hours a day to answer your questions, provide support and visit as needed.
Atlantic Visiting Nurse - Supportive Care is covered by most insurance companies, including Medicare and Medicaid, under the home care benefit. Our staff will help to verify benefits and work with your physician to develop a plan of care that meets your individual needs and addresses your concerns.
