Aphasia is a communication disorder that impairs a person’s ability to process language. It impacts speech, the ability to read, write and understand others, but does not affect intelligence.
In addition to individualized treatment sessions, Atlantic Rehabilitation offers an aphasia support group that allows members to meet with others who live with this disorder for mutual education and encouragement:
